This is The "Goetemann Gallery," now called The Cove. I remember the late Judy and Gordon Goetemann would sit outside on the little yellow benches. There were always fresh flowers and and the blue French doors and a backdrop of the navy blue historic Smith's Cove. All sorts of conversations would take place about art and politics. Inside were Judy's pretty floral batiks. Gordon would display his oversized paintings of Bass Rocks with puddles of ocean water and clouds would appear inside of them. This scene created the culture and artscape on Rocky Neck. I'm so proud and honored to exhibit there in a six person exhibit I entitled, "Sacred Space," inspired by this place! Now thru June 16th, 2024.
